• Forged Steel Slip-on Flanges are manufactured strictly in accordance with ASTM-A105 requirements.
• All Forged Steel Slip-on Flanges are carefully machined and all dimensions conform to ANSI B16.5 Class 150, flat face.
• Being a welded slip-on flange, Forged Steel Flange is ideally suited for use on flange and plain end pieces, making spool pieces, and joining plain end pipe of the same diameter.
• Most forged steel flanges correspond to the requirements of the American Standards Association and the ASTM Specification A-105.
• The following types are manufactured and stocked. They are Welding Neck flanges, available in all pressure ratings and sizes, are butt-welded to the end of the pipe, and are usually specified when service conditions are severe and excellent workmanship necessary.
• The inside diameter of the flange must match that of the pipe, the flange bore should be specified in ordering.
• Slip-on flanges, also available in most pressure ratings and sizes, are a popular type due to their ease of application.
• Each steel flange is machined to match the inside diameter of the steel pipe and inspected to verify that the raised face dimension is correct.
• A radius that matches the radius of the polyethylene flange-fitting is machined on the inside of the raised face bore.
• A spacer ring is placed between each of the steel flanges to allow the correct amount of compression of the polyethylene flange-fitting.
• Flanges weld neck, socket weld, threaded, blind, slip on, lap joint and reducing type to ANSI B 16.5 from 1/2" to 24" and classes150 to 2500.
• GORE-TEX® Series 300 gasket tape provides steel equipment with increased availability. It is easy to install and can be formed in place in any flange shape without leaving expensive material scrap.
