General

  • OXSILAN is a range of Cr-free metal pretreatment products. This technology is based on a series of silanes which exhibit either cross-linking or functional activity in combination to create chemically bonded films on the metal surface, enhancing corrosion resistance and, for organically coated substrates, increasing the bond strength between metal and paint.

  • The OXSILAN product line is based on a functionalized organo-silane network that is selected to deliver the required performance characteristics with respect to anti-corrosion and paint adhesion properties

Technology

  • OXSILAN is a novel nanoscale metal pretreatment technology. It is free of hazardous metals and provides superior corrosion resistance for a wide range of multi metal substrates.

  • The OXSILAN 9000 Series has been formulated to replac traditional iron and zinc phosphate processes. This technology is free of hazardous metals and provides superior corrosion resistance for a wide range of multi-metal substrates

Process

  • OXSILAN allows processing at ambient temperature and thus heating of the bath is not needed. Additional cost savings are realized since activation and passivation are not required.

Application

  • OXSILAN product range is truly innovative. This environmentally preferred chemistry can be incorporated in existing facilities and be used at room temperature. Most products are suited for multi metal application.

  • OXSILAN® products are successfully being used in the Metal Finishing Industry today
