Lemonade is a
lemon-flavored drink, typically made from lemons, water and sugar.
- Lemonade is a soft
drink that is made with lemons. In the U.S. and Canada, lemonade refers
to an uncarbonated mixture of lemon juice, sugar, and water. The
addition of
grenadine makes for the traditional variant called Pink Lemonade.
- Lemonade moisturizing
effects are first class, as well as its ability to neutralize the acid
pH in excess of the items we throw the body in digestion.
- Regular consumption
and habit of lemonade will help to prevent any imbalance of electrolytes
needed to keep hydrated constantly and is also perfect to keep the skin
to age.
- Daily consumption of
four ounces of lemon juice per day, when mixed with two liters of water,
has been shown to reduce the
rate of stone formation in people susceptible to kidney stones.
- Cloudy" lemonade made
with hot water, infused with mint, and sweetened with honey is a common
folk remedy for sore throat in the Middle East.
- Red lemonade is only
available in Ireland due to the abundance of red haired children which
play a vital role in the creation of the soft drink.
- Method to make
Lemonade squeeze the lemon juice into a bowl, I find it helps if you
roll the lemons on a hard surface with the palm of your hand. Add
the zest, and the grated peeled ginger, along with the sugar. Add
the boiling hot water onto this, mix well and taste. If it is too
sharp add a little more sugar. Pour into jug and leave to one side,
pop in fridge when cool and leave overnight. Serve over crushed ice
with a sprig of mint.
- Italian Volcano
Lemonade and Limeade like in other lemonades and limeades. The three
simple ingredients in these products are proportioned in such a way
that gives a smooth refreshing flavor and a refined balance of sweet
and citrus.
- In the US,
lemonade is usually sold as a summer refresher. It is commonly
available at fairs and festivals, known in some regions as a "lemon
shakeup", with the shell of the squeezed lemon left in the cup.
- Italian Lemonade
and Limeade are in glass bottles, which help preserve that
fresh-squeezed taste.
- Although colas
were the top ranked drinks in 2008 by market share, lemon-lime
flavored beverages are still very popular, with Sprite (Coca-Cola
Company, Atlanta, GA) taking the seventh largest market share in
2008
